InstaRaise Support Questions

What steps do returning students need to take on my new InstaRaise campaign?

There are two options for returning students:

1. Activate manually
2. Students register for the new campaign.

The first option is to activate returning students manually.

1. Login to the teacher dashboard for your new campaign.
2. Go to < Students > in your dashboard.
3. Click on the orange "ACTIONS" button.
4. Select "Activate Old Students" from the drop-down menu.
5. You can activate individual students or select all and activate the students that should be in the new campaign.

Next, you will need to confirm contacts for the returning student.

1. Go to < Students > in your dashboard
2. Click on the orange "ACTIONS" button. 
3. Select Confirm Contacts from the drop-down menu. 
4. Confirm the contacts when prompted. This will activate the email drip campaign to the previous supporters. 

Finally, the students will need to login and ADD supporters from the previous campaign. 

The second option is to have the students register using the campaign ID. 
If you did not activate the students from a previous campaign, then returning students should go to www.instaraise.com and use your new campaign ID to register for the new campaign. On the login screen the students will be prompted to enter their name, last name, email address and phone number. It is important that they use the same email address as they did in the previous InstaRaise campaign. If they can't remember what email they used on the previous campaign, reach out to your representative or export that from the "students" tab on your teacher dashboard from the previous campaign. If they remember their email but have forgotten their password, have them try their last name (lowercase) as the password. Or they can click on forgot password to reset the password. 

Once on the Dashboard, the students should click on "Guided Setup" and go through the prompts. 

• Upload a selfie < Upload a selfie from their camera roll on their phone. Should be a picture that clearly shows their face. In uniform, if possible > Click Continue
• Set a goal for your fundraiser < adjust the goal that will show as their personal goal on their page > Click CONTINUE
• Personalize your message < if we pre-set the wording > Click SKIP
  < If we didn't pre-set the wording you may want to have them update the outgoing message > Click CONTINUE
• My Contacts < if they see a blue ADD button next to any names, they need to click that button for each name > Click LOOKS GOOD! CONTINUE
  ​< If they don't have any contacts yet - this is the page where they should add the 10-20 contacts with email and phone numbers > Click LOOKS GOOD! CONTINUE 
• Text your contacts for their support < the green send text button works if they are working from a smartphone This will send supporters a text message > Click CONTINUE
• Spread the word by sharing on Social Media < this page has multiple buttons that allow the student to share the campaign on social media > Click FINISH
• You are done!! < this page shows the URL that the student would send to family members, login email and temporary password > Click SEE DASHBOARD
