Soft Launch & Supporters List Instructions
When: 3 days before your kickoff date
- Introduce the WHY (the problem the fundraiser solves) and tie your WHY to the fundraiser.
- Play the Supporters List Video (see below) and distribute the supporters list.
YouTube Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h2APvdGdWaA - Set the expectation that all students need to work with Mom and Dad to complete the supporters list with a minimum of 10+ " quality" contacts.
TIP: A quality contact includes the name + cell phone + EMAIL of each contact. You will need to emphasize the need for an email address. - The Early Bird Challenge!! Dare or double-dare your students to have $50 raised and showing on the leaderboard by the day of the kickoff.
TIP: Use a statement like "Who knows, you might accidently raise $50 before we even get started?" Campaign should be LIVE on the date of the soft launch.
TIP: Hold a student leadership meeting and set expectations that student leaders will lead by example and raise $100 before the kickoff date.
Setting your group goal for quality contacts with email.
How many email addresses do we need to reach our fundraising goal? Here's the math.
Determine how much money you need to fund your project or goal. Divide that goal by 12 and that result will be the approximate number of quality contacts you will need from your students to hit that goal. Example: If you want to receive a profit check of $10,000, (on average) you would need 834 quality contacts.
TIP: The highest profit checks are going to the teachers who can really dig in on 20-25 contacts + email before the kickoff date.
